Alexandra Silva Labarr Takes the TEDx Stage in Lufkin, Texas with "Fear Is Data"
Founder of TPN Community and Xandra Marketing & PR delivers talk on reframing fear as information, not an obstacle
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — August 8, 2026 — Alexandra Silva Labarr, founder and CEO of TPN Community and Xandra Marketing & PR, stepped onto the TEDx stage today in Lufkin, Texas, delivering a talk titled "Fear Is Data: Updating the Operating System Running Your Life."
Selected as one of the Elite Eight speakers for TEDx Lufkin 2026, Alexandra used her talk to challenge one of the most common — and most limiting — beliefs people carry: that fear is a signal to stop. Instead, she offered a different lens, one drawn from her own life and from the framework she's built her career around.
"Fear is not a stop sign," Alexandra told the audience. "Fear is data."
Drawing on her personal story, including the experience of losing both of her parents and being raised by her grandmother, Alexandra walked the audience through what she calls the Storage Full Framework: a four-part approach to processing fear the way you'd clear space on an overloaded phone, Check, Delete, Update, Increase. The talk reframed fear not as an emotion to eliminate, but as information to interpret, sort through, and act on.
The talk builds on the ideas at the center of Alexandra's bestselling book, Show Up Scared, and its companion edition for teens, Show Up Scared: Teen Edition — both of which explore what it means to take action in the presence of fear rather than waiting for it to disappear.
